- There are 16,219 voters in Ladywood ward.
- The ward's Labour councillors were elected with about 1,300-1,600 votes.
- That means that out of all the voters, only about 10% voted for them.
- If only 11% vote for someone else (like me), that person wins instead.
Pretty simple!
P.S. I do wish that more people voted...

I'd vote for you if I could.
All you need to do is move from Prague to Ladywood and register by 18th April. Not much to help out a mate is it?
Room for one more in Mr Smallbone's Ladywood residence. Joke.
Maybe more people would vote if they felt their concerns were being listened to and not just being used to promote someone's ego all over the city
I would agree with the last comment from anonymous, however I would rather see more people to VOTE LABOUR than T-Bone. As I would like him to sing his latest record release I should have known better than to stand against the Best Sir Albert Bore so VOTE Albert Bore.
So brave of you anon. to post under your real name! I particularly like the way that one of your posts agrees with another of your posts. Clown.
Mind you, if I was singing the praises of The Bore, I'd want to stay anon too.
Hi Gareth
Just so as you know how this comment board works, anyone who does not want to give their name can choose to be identified as 'Anonymous'. Which means, dear Gareth, that not all posts identified as 'Anonymous' are from the same person. The wonders of modern technology, eh? Hope this helps xx
Just to let you know how an ounce of rationality works anonymous - those of us who didn't come down in the last shower, know that there can only be one 'anonymous' pro-Labour poster on this site, and it's you. Hope this helps too xx
Gareth
Just so you know, I am the author of the comment posted at 10.33am, but not the author of the comment posted at 3.35pm. I am NOT a Labour supporter, I am as yet undecided and I don't know who the second anonymous is. I simply expressed an opinion as an undecided voter and certainly would not encourage people to vote Labour - in fact I would definitely not vote for them myself. It is my democratic right to choose to remain anonymous and express my opinion. I would encourage Mr Smallbone to convince undecided voters, such as myself, that he represents the best choice for the City. I wish him every success in doing so.
Anonymous (10.33 AM) - thanks for your comments. I'm personally not interested in promoting my ego and I'm relieved that the Council's taken the sensible decision of banning lamppost posters this year. This will give me more time to devote to putting my message out.
I've lived in Ladywood Ward for the past six years. Nominations for the election have just closed - last year, I was the only candidate to live in the Ward.
I'm trying to help people across the Ward with live political issues, such as the regeneration of Icknield Port Loop, the fear of crime (about 75% of respondents to my recent survey listed this as a concern), Edgbaston Reservoir / Tower Ballroom, affordable housing and so on.
I do hope that you'll be able to give me your support. I'm very pleased to hear that you won't be voting Labour anyway!
You will be lucky I would like to see you in hell before I vote.
Labour are so unpopular these days that even their stooges have to hide behind 'anonymous' tags.
Er, T-Bone do you have to hide behind (Gareth) your clown for him to comment!
I generally don't respond to anonymous rants from Labour rent-a-quotes, especially when there's someone else responding so well...
You must be desperate to depend on other people to do your dirty work & it is about time to tell you that you are the weakest link in this coming local elections.
Anon, you mistake 'work' (dirty or not) for pleasure.
Gareth is this why you are useless as a former cllr in Lambeth and hardley attend any committee meetings?
The adverb is 'hardly' anon, there is no 'e' at the end of 'ly' adverbs.
I was so "useless" as a Lambeth Councillor, anon., that I increased my majority from 19 to 500 in my second term, on the biggest swing to the tories in the borough. I think you'll also find that this was largely because of the amount of case work I did which, on the basis of the council's league tables of members' enquiries made, was more than that of any Labour Councillor and most of the Liberals.
Let's judge me on the basis of the Erdington result on May 3rd, shall we, anon.?
BTW, I am touched by the close interest you take in my politcal career, anon.
Hey Gareth, did you know that i continue to show my dog your picture so when you knock on my door that he will bite you
Really anon? How interesting. You've lost the argument so now you resort to threats of violence. You sad little person.
Not so sure about that remind me again how many committee & full council meetings did you attend while you were a cllr in Lambeth or what percent of all meetings that you have attended?
100% of both.
